Founded in 1991, the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies has grown into a multifaceted program with over 75 affiliated faculty and 101 graduate students.
With the urgent need for transportation to be more cleaner and energy-efficient, the Institute of Transportation Studies is at the helm of some of today's most vital research programs furthering this effort. Its graduate programs help meet a growing demand for qualified, thoughtful and dedicated engineers, policy makers, analysts, planners and advocates. Private support from corporations, foundations and individuals fund this research for a cleaner-burning tomorrow and ensure quality graduate education for tomorrow’s transportation leaders.
