UC Davis and in particular the Office of University Outreach and International Programs (UOIP) is committed to infusing an international dimension into all that we do. Since its creation in 1998, UOIP has actively partnered with other campus units to provide campus leadership for international research, education and outreach and well as continuing, distance and lifelong learning.

Our goal is to continue to build a truly international community. We have identified four development initiatives that are critical to achieve this goal: an International Center to house 300-500 students, an international café, meeting rooms, Education Abroad Center, Services for International Students and Scholars; funding for New Initiatives/Seed Grants for faculty; education abroad scholarships particularly for limited resource students; and fellowships and support for international students and scholars including Scholars at Risk.
