State (highways) of the art: New signs direct visitors to Manetti Shrem Museum

By Ashley Han | July 19, 2019

It’s now harder to get lost on your way to UC Davis’ fine arts museum. The Manetti Shrem Museum of Art boasts new signage along Interstate 80 and State Highway 113, with iconic white-on-green type directing drivers to the museum on Old Davis Road.

Twenty-one exhibitions have been featured at the Shrem since its 2016 opening, with many more to come. Thanks to Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem’s $10-million gift and many generous donors from across the region, the museum is free for all and cultivates transformational art experiences to encourage new thinking and ideas.
